Support
Most questions have a written answer below, and searching it is faster than waiting for a person. If your question is not here, the ways to reach one are at the bottom.
This search runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type here is sent anywhere.
Accounts & cards
What is the difference between a Sanctuary Card and an account?
A card is a bearer credential: whoever holds the serial can open the rooms it opens, and the house does not need your name to issue one. An account is a sign-in with an email and a password.
They are not rivals. If you hold both, the account outranks the card, which outranks a device — and moving between them merges what you have rather than making you choose.
I lost my card serial. Can you recover it?
Usually not, and that is the deliberate cost of the card being anonymous. The card is not linked to your identity, so there is nothing to check a recovery request against.
If the card was issued with an order, the order record can connect the two — contact Support with the order number.
How do I turn on two-factor authentication?
From your account settings. Both an authenticator app (TOTP) and backup codes are supported. Write the backup codes down somewhere that is not the device holding the authenticator — that is the whole point of them.
How do I delete my account and my data?
Write to Support from the address on the account. See the Privacy Policy for what is held, how long, and what can and cannot be removed — in particular, a card that was never linked to you may be impossible to authenticate a deletion request against.
Buying & the shop
Does my cart survive if I close the tab?
Yes. The cart is kept in your own browser's storage, so it is still there after a refresh, and after closing and reopening the browser. It is not sent to the box until you place the order.
Clearing your browser data clears the cart, and a different browser or device has its own.
How do I pay with crypto?
Choose Pay by crypto at checkout, or go to that page directly. You send the payment straight to the address shown — there is no processor in between, and this box never holds your funds.
Send only on the network the page names. Coins sent on the wrong network are generally unrecoverable by anyone, including us.
Can I get a refund?
Only where the law compels one. The Master Terms say, at 7.2:
Refunds are issued only where the Operator is bound to issue them
by law. Nothing else creates a refund entitlement.
There is no
refund window set by the house and no discretionary exception
programme, because the Terms create neither.
Disputing a payment is not itself a breach. The Terms at 7.3 and 7.4 govern disputed payments and fraud, and a good-faith dispute made under a statutory right is expressly not fraud.
See Section 7 of the Terms and the Refund Policy, which quotes it in full.
My order says pending and I have already paid.
Card payments confirm automatically; crypto payments are confirmed by hand once the transaction is seen. Do not pay a second time. Send Support your order number and, for crypto, the transaction hash.
Quanta & the wallet
What are quanta? Can I cash them out?
Quanta are an internal token used inside the site. They are not money: they cannot be cashed out, exchanged for currency, or moved off the site, and they have no value outside it.
I spent quanta and did not get the thing.
That is a fault, not a judgement call — it gets re-credited. Tell Support what you bought and roughly when.
What is auto-reload and how do I stop it?
Auto-reload tops your card balance back up when it falls below a threshold you choose. It is off unless you turned it on, it emails a receipt every single time it fires, and it can never fire more than once in 24 hours.
You can switch it off in one click from your card settings and it stops immediately — there is no notice period. A failed payment turns it off by itself and tells you.
The commons, chat & moderation
Can I post anonymously?
Yes, under a pen-name. Be aware that an anonymous post stores the posting IP address — that is what makes moderating anonymous abuse possible at all, and it is stated in the Privacy Policy rather than hidden.
I was muted or banned. What now?
Timed mutes lift by themselves — there is nothing to do and no queue to wait in.
For anything longer you may write to Support and say what happened. Be clear about that: this is a courtesy channel, not an appeal right and not a tier of the Terms. The Club may decline to continue a membership at its discretion without stating cause (7.3), so nothing here promises a particular outcome, and no decision on this channel creates a refund entitlement (7.2). The Terms are the whole of your position; this is a door worth knocking on, not an appeal that has to succeed.
I found a bug or a security hole.
There is a real bounty for it. See the Red Team Guild — findings are judged in the open and the reward law is published, including the part where the first valid report of an issue is the one that pays.
Please report a security issue there rather than demonstrating it in the commons.
Running it yourself
Can I run this on my own machine?
Yes — that is the point of the open core. The whole stack comes up with one command, and it keeps working with the network unplugged.
Does the site work offline?
Most of it, genuinely. Maps, routing, the reading room, the games and the book run on your device. A page that truly needs the network says so on its own face.
Nothing here matches that. Try a shorter word — or ask a person below.
Reaching a person
Support today is handled by a human reading messages, not a ticket system — so the most reliable route is the one that reaches the keeper directly.
- The commons — ask in the open at the Outflowmatrix. Often someone else has hit it too.
- Bugs and security — the Red Team Guild, which is a real queue with a real reward.
- Orders, refunds, payments — reply to your order confirmation email, quoting the order number.
Status: if the whole site is unreachable, no message here will get through either. Most of the site keeps working offline, so if everything fails at once it is this box.
