The Open Books

Write down what was spent, put it in a category, and read the total back out of the rows. The books are kept in whole minor units — pence, cents — because a float total is a rounding bug waiting for a big enough number to show itself.

What these books do and do not do. They are one browser on one device. There are no accounts, no sync and no second pair of eyes, so a total here is a total you computed from receipts you typed. An amount that cannot be read is refused, never quietly counted as zero — a receipt that silently became 0 is a hole that still balances. A receipt whose decision name matches no decision you listed is counted as unlinked: it is in the total and it is not attached to anything. And the reconciliation line below is a number, not a verdict — when it reads a gap, this page shows you the gap rather than telling you it is fine.

Decisions you are counting against

One per line, the exact text you will type on a receipt. A receipt naming one of these is linked; anything else is counted and reported as unlinked. This list is kept in the box for the visit.
